TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 8, 2022) – Salt Lake Community College's Lifetime Activities Center played host to one of the NJCAA's premiere in-season matchups Saturday.

The match between No. 2 Salt Lake Community College and No. 5 USU Eastern ended in a victory for the host squad, with the Bruins earning a 3-1 victory over the Lady Eagles by set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-13. Salt Lake is now 21-2 overall with the win, holding a mark of 5-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference matches.

After falling in the first set, the Bruins played comfortably from there, limiting USU Eastern to just .104 hitting and forcing 20 Lady Eagles errors. On the other hand, SLCC finished with 54 kills and had 10 aces.Â

Sammy Perry led Salt Lake with 24 kills, while
Charity Wilson contributed 14 kills.
Laura Fiabane posted 48 assists.Â

SLCC will host Snow College and Southern Nevada in play next weekend.Â
