TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 27, 2022) – The No. 1 Salt Lake Community College Men's Soccer team set many goals in advance of the 2022 season.

SLCC is now one step closer to achieving another goal after Thursday's Region 18 tournament opener, thanks to a 4-2 win over the College of Southern Nevada that has the Bruins advancing to Saturday's Region 18 final. The Bruins are now 12-0-1 overall with the win.

In a match that was competitive, SLCC's
Jimiyu Mark got the Bruins on the board in the 50
th minute with a goal off a
Santiago Delfino assist. CSN then scored the next two goals to take a 2-1 lead, prior to
Zion Wagoner scoring on a penalty kick in the 76
th minute to tie the match. The Bruins then added insurance goals thanks to a Damien Aguello goal in the 78
th minute, followed up by another Wagoner goal in the 79
th minute.

SLCC held a 12-5 advantage in total shots. Bruins goalkeeper
Ben Williams made a save in the win.

Salt Lake will play the winner of a match between Snow College and USU Eastern in Saturday's Region 18 championship match. The match is scheduled to be played at 2:00 p.m.
