TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 1, 2022) – This week couldn't have gone any better for the No. 4 Salt Lake Community College Women's Soccer team.
The Bruins capped off a perfect week Saturday, earning a 5-0 win over Colorado Northwestern Community College at home. SLCC is now 7-1 overall and 6-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference matches, keeping its league lead.
SLCC took control early, thanks to
Pyper Cuff scoring seconds into the match.
Lexi Vernsey added to the Bruin total in the 13
th minute, then
Alec Kennington score a goal in the 27
th minute to give Salt Lake a 3-0 lead.
Braelyn Baclayon scored a pair of goals in the match, posting goals in the 35
th and 89
th minute.
The Bruins held a 30-1 advantage in total shots, taking 16 shots-on-goal.
Kenna Sparks had two assists in the match.
Salt Lake will play a pair of Scenic West matches at Community Christian next weekend.
