TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (August 25, 2021) - The Salt Lake Community College men's basketball program has made another addition to the 2021-22 roster.
Wednesday, SLCC coach
Kyle Taylor announced the signing of
Addison Patterson, a transfer from the University of Oregon. Patterson, who hails from Canada, prepped at Bella Vista Prep in Arizona.
Taylor said Patterson will be another quality wing player for the Bruins.
"Addison is an extremely talented wing who has the ability to be an elite scorer," he said. "He had a solid year at Oregon as a true freshmen back in 2019-20, and has played most of his life at a very high level and been extremely productive.
"Addison is hungry and eager to get back on the court this fall, and he is a terrific late addition for us. Addison can score it at all three levels, has good handles, and is a fierce competitor. Addison wants to win, and his length and athleticism fits well with how we play."
Patterson averaged 4.6 points at Oregon, shooting 36 percent from three-point range. He has extensive international experience, having played for the Canadian U-17 program and was the Most Valuable Player of the 'Biosteel All-Canadian Game.'
The Toronto native said Salt Lake presented a great opportunity for him as a student-athlete.
"I chose Salt Lake Community College because I see an opportunity to work on my talents and advance my career," Patterson said. "I'm looking forward to competing for a championship and improving my game as much as possible."
Patterson is the son of Rod and Jackie Patterson.Â
