TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (July 1, 2021) - The Salt Lake Community College men's soccer team claimed an NJCAA national title just weeks ago, with the Bruins powering to the upstart title.

With the team accolades in mind, the individual accolades for SLCC continue to roll in as the Bruins celebrated three players being named to the NJCAA All-America lists in a recent announcement. Salt Lake finished the Spring 2021 season at 16-1-1 overall, earning a 2-1 overtime victory over Iowa Western in the NJCAA championship match.

Salt Lake's Levonte Johnson, Samuel Owusu and Paul Richnow were all named to the list's prestigious First-Team, thanks to outstanding performances throughout the year. Johnson posted a team-high 11 goals, while Owusu scored 9 goals and had a shooting percentage of .237. Richnow was one of SLCC's outstanding defensive players, helping Salt Lake to allowing just 9 goals on the season. Opponents had an average of 0.50 goals in matches against Salt Lake.

The Bruins also had several individual players make the United Soccer Coaches All-America list, with Christian Olivares, Richnow, Omar Gomez, and Johnson all earning recognition.
