TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 24, 2021) – 'Sophomore Night' for the No. 14 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team ended with a loss to a nationally-ranked foe Wednesday.

The Bruins lost a 3-0 decision to No. 3 Snow College, falling by set scores of 19-25, 10-25, 19-25. The loss drops SLCC to 12-7 overall and 6-3 in Scenic West play.
Anastasia Tuifua led Salt Lake with five kills, with
Sammi Johnston also posting four kills.
Hikialani Kaohelaulii had a match-high 25 kills.
Sidney Frith had eight assists in the loss.Â
In the pregame festivities, the Bruins honored their five sophomores for their two-year contribution to SLCC's success. The sophomores at Salt Lake include: Frith,
Gwen Russell,
Kenadee Christensen, Johnston and
Rachael Warren.Â

Salt Lake's previously scheduled match Friday against Southern Nevada has been cancelled. The Bruins will play next in the Region 18 tournament, which opens on April 2 in Richfield.
