Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 2, 2021) – The No. 14 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team saw its season end Friday in a Region 18 tournament semifinal loss to No. 4 USU Eastern.
 
The Bruins dropped a tight 3-2 match to USU Eastern, who advances to play in Saturday's Region 18 final by set scores of 27-29, 25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 20-15. With the loss, Salt Lake will end the season with an overall mark of 12-8.

"Tonight was a heartbreaking loss," said SLCC interim coach Shay Goulding-Meurer. "Our team played phenomenally well."
 
In a match that went back-and-forth, Rachael Warren led SLCC with six blocks and eight kills. Sammi Johnston posted 10 kills and 18 digs, while Kennadee Christensen and Gwen Russell finished with 9 kills apiece. Hikialani Kaohelaulii posted a team-high 41 digs.

The All-Region 18 volleyball team will be announced in the coming days.
