Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 13, 2021) – One week into Scenic West Athletic Conference play and the No. 14 Salt Lake Community College women's basketball team is still perfect.
SLCC earned a 103-59 victory over the College of Southern Nevada Saturday, moving to 3-0 in Scenic West play. Salt Lake is also a perfect 8-0 overall on the season with the victories.
With the victory, Salt Lake scored over 100 points for the first time since a victory over Chemeketa College in 2017. This is the third time SLCC has scored over 100 points in a game.
The Bruins jumped out to an early lead, taking a 27-9 lead after the first quarter. SLCC led 51-24 at halftime, leading by as many as 48 points late in the game. Salt Lake lived on the three-point line in the victory, hitting 16-of-34 three-point shots to clinch the win.
Ness Ngakosso scored a team-high 21 points for Salt Lake, with
Leilani Augmon posting 20 points.
Aminata Diakite scored 19 points, while
Awa Sidibe finished with 15 points for the Bruins.
The Bruins will play a split schedule next weekend, playing host to in-state rival USU Eastern on Thursday before traveling to play nationally-ranked Snow College on Saturday.
