Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (December 11, 2021) – The Salt Lake Community College Women's Basketball team had an admittedly tough start to the 2021-22 season, going 1-2 in a weekend tournament in early November.
However, now that the Bruins are playing in the holiday season, games have been nothing but gravy as SLCC moved to 3-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play with a 89-26 win over Community Christian College. The Bruins are now 7-2 overall, currently riding a six-game winning streak.
SLCC dominated from the start, taking a 15-5 lead after the first quarter and leading 42-12 at halftime. CCC scored in single digits in each quarter, with Salt Lake limiting Community Christian to just 14.7 percent shooting (5-of-34) and forcing 36 turnovers.
Brooke Donnelly led Salt Lake with 16 points, while
Diarrah Sissoko finished with 12 points.
Zaliah Adams scored 11 points and
Naelle Bernard scored 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting.
Salt Lake will play another pair of Scenic West games next week, hosting Colorado Northwestern at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday inside the Lifetime Activities Center.
