TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 21, 2021) – The No. 6 Salt Lake Community College Women's Soccer program is attempting to close the regular season with momentum, in preparations for next week's Region 18 championships.
The Bruins, playing their final matches of the season at home, earned a 4-0 win over the College of Southern Nevada Thursday. SLCC is now 10-3-1 overall, with a mark of 8-3 in Scenic West contests.
Salt Lake held a 1-0 lead at halftime, thanks to a
Kallyn Chynoweth goal in the 24
th minute. The Bruins took charge in the second half, with
Ashlyn Hall scoring just 39 seconds into the period to give SLCC a 2-0 lead. Hall scored again just seconds later to up the advantage to 3-0, while
Anna Pinegar scored in the 68
th minute on an unassisted goal – her 19
th goal of the season.
The Bruins dominated the match statistically, holding a 27-1 advantage in total shots.

SLCC will host its 'Sophomore Day' festivities on Saturday in a match against Community Christian College. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. at Zions Bank Stadium.
