TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 23, 2021) – The No. 6 Salt Lake Community College Women's Soccer program put a successful cap on the Fall 2021 regular season, earning a strong win in their 'Sophomore Day' home finale.
SLCC posted a 5-0 win over Community Christian College, leading early and never looking back. The win lifts the Bruins to 11-3-1 overall, with a mark of 9-3 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Kallyn Chynoweth had a strong performance for Salt Lake, scoring a goal just 90 seconds into the contest to give SLCC a lead.
Lauren Call scored just 45 seconds later to boost Salt Lake's lead to 2-0, while
Emma Fry scored an unassisted goal in the 27
th minute.
Anna Pinegar posted a goal in the 43
rd minute, while Chynoweth scored another goal just seconds before the halftime intermission to give Salt Lake a 5-0 lead at the break.
Salt Lake will play next in the Region 18 tournament, which will be played next week at Snow College.
