TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 21, 2021) – If there is one thing the No. 1 Salt Lake Community College Men's Basketball team won't allow to happen, it's for complacency to creep in during the final week of the regular season.

Thursday's Scenic West Athletic Conference match against the College of Southern Nevada showcased that, with the Bruins earning a 4-0 win over the Coyotes. With the win, SLCC moves to 13-0 overall and 10-0 in Scenic West play.

After a sluggish first-half offensively, the Bruins caught fire in the second period, scoring all four goals in the blowout win.
Taimu Okiyoshi started the scoring in the 59

Omar Gomez scored in the 68

Ryen Jiba assist.
Damian Aguello added a goal in the 81
st minute, with
Mason McRae scoring in the 89

Salt Lake will host its 'Sophomore Day' festivities Saturday, with an 11:00 a.m. match against Community Christian College.Â
