SLCC's Jiba, Roy earn NJCAA All-America Men's Soccer honors

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (December 6, 2019) - A pair of Salt Lake Community College men's soccer players have been honored with All-America honors from the NJCAA.

The national organization announced honors for No. 10 SLCC's Ryen Jiba and Isaac Roy as Third-Team All-Americans, making the duo the only players from the Scenic West Athletic Conference to receive national recognition. Jiba was the Region 18 Player-of-the-Year in 2019, while Roy finished as the Region 18 Co-Goalie-of-the-Year.

Jiba finished with 11 goals in the 2019 season, playing in all 13 of SLCC's matches. He also contributed 6 assists. At goal, Roy had 4 shutouts during the season while allowing just 8 goals and making 19 saves for the Bruins.

Salt Lake won its second consecutive Scenic West title in 2019, going 14-1-1 during the season. SLCC went a perfect 10-0-0 in league play, earning a 3-1 win over Snow College in the Region 18 championship match.
