TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (December 13, 2019) - The Salt Lake Community College men's basketball team tipped off its annual December tourney in firm fashion, powering to an impressive win.
SLCC powered to a 120-46 win over Impact Academy, earning its largest margin-of-victory of the season. The win boosts Salt Lake's overall record to 11-3 overall.
Salt Lake took a 55-23 lead at halftime, holding Impact to just 22.86 percent shooting in the first half (8-of-35). Conversely, the Bruins shot 64 percent in the first half, part of a 60 percent for the game (48-of-79).Â

Kyle Taylor said the offensive performance was a great achievement for his team.
"I was really proud of our defensive effort and intensity tonight," he said. "We played great for 40 minutes on that side of the ball, and that's going to be a key as we head into SWAC play.
Tutu Majok played outstanding tonight and got his first career double double.
James Lee and
Christian Popoola were great facilitators, and
Jay Allen-Tovar played with great energy and locked up on defense. It was a good team win."
Eight different Salt Lake players scored in double-figures, with
Tutu Majok finishing with a team-high 17 points.
Justice Hill, Matt Grey and
Christian Popoola all scored 14 points, while
Jay Allen-Tovar and
Asa McCord finished with 13 points.
Dylan Belquist and
Spencer Johnson both scored 10 points.
Salt Lake will play Tohono O'Odham at 11:00 a.m. inside the Lifetime Activities Center on Saturday.Â
