TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 5, 2019) - The No. 9 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team responded well in a Scenic West Athletic Conference match Saturday, earning a 3-0 road victory to rebound from a Thursday loss.
The Bruins earned a 3-0 road win (25-15, 25-11, 25-14) over the College of Southern Nevada, controlling momentum throughout the match. SLCC won each set by double-digits on the way to the sweep. The win boosts Salt Lake's overall record to 20-6 overall and 3-1 in the Scenic West.
SLCC's defense proved to be a valuable tool as the Bruins pushed CSN into 28 errors and 7 return errors.
Rachael Warren finished with a team-high 5 kills, with
Kaitlynn Bradley and
Allie Beck both finishing with 4 kills. Sidney Firth had a team-high 12 assists and
Sammi Johnston led the Bruins with 13 digs.
Salt Lake will travel again next weekend, taking to the road to face off against the College of Southern Idaho. The match is scheduled to be played on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The Bruins will return home on Oct. 24 to play CSN.Â
