TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (October 26, 2019) - The No. 15 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team came up short in a matchup of nationally-ranked foes in Scenic West Athletic Conference play Saturday.

The Bruins fell 3-0 to the No. 5 Snow College Badgers, falling by set scores of 12-25, 17-25, 19-25 to their in-state rivals. The losses drop Salt Lake to 22-9 overall and just 5-4 in Scenic West play.

In a match that Snow controlled, Salt Lake had 20 attack errors and measured just 39 kills. SLCC's return percentage was .154. Gwen Russell led the Bruins with 9 kills, while Ariane Pola contributed 7 kills. Sidney Frith led the Bruins with 17 assists.

Salt Lake will play a pair of matches next week in the final week of the regular season. First, the Bruins will travel to play at Western Wyoming Community College on Tuesday, followed up by playing their final Scenic West match of the season in a 'Sophomore Night' matchup with the College of Southern Idaho on Saturday.
