Salt Lake signs duo to 2018-19 class

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (July 23. 2018) - The Salt Lake Community College Bruins have signed a pair of highly-touted men's basketball players for the 2018-19 season.

Bruins coach Todd Phillips announced the signing of guard Cameron Mack and forward Dimitri Pandev Monday, adding two critical pieces to the SLCC roster in advance of the upcoming season. Mack and Pandev joins a list of anticipated prospects that have committed to Salt Lake.

Mack, a transfer from Stephen F. Austin in Texas, will join the Bruins as highly sought-after guard. After a freshman year with the Lumberjacks - one where SFA qualified for the NCAA tournament - the guard will join a Salt Lake team that has had a long history of facilitating successful guard play. Mack was a two-star rated guard coming out of high school.

In Pandev, the Bruins have hopefully added an extension to a long line of successful international players in Taylorsville, with the 6'10'' forward hailing from Macedonia. He has competed in a variety of FIBA Europe competitions, competing on the youth teams.

Salt Lake is the defending Scenic West Athletic Conference champions, after finishing the 2017-18 season with an overall record of 30-4 and 10-2 in league play. The Bruins won the NJCAA District One championship, qualifying for the NJCAA tourney.
