Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 17, 2018) - The No. 6 Salt Lake Community College Bruins overcame a disappointing overtime loss Thursday night, powering to a dominating home victory over an in-state foe.
The Bruins powered to an 83-69 Scenic West Athletic Conference victory over USU Eastern, moving to 2-1 on the season against the Eagles. Salt Lake led 43-24 at halftime, never allowing USU Eastern to gain the lead in the game.
SLCC led by as many as 24 points, 43-19, in the first half, holding USU Eastern to 37 percent shooting (27-of-73). The mode of the game was different from Salt Lake's previous games against USU Eastern, when SLCC and USU Eastern were caught in tough battles.
Hunter Schofield led the Bruins with 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting.
Kur Kuath finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds, while
Bushmen Ebet had 12 points.
Josh Colon had 11 points.
