Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 24, 2017) - The Salt Lake Community College Bruins were hoping to start the SLCC Thanksgiving Tournament in style, earning an opening win over Casper College. Unfortunately for the Bruins, it was the Thunderbirds who earned the win.

Casper College earned the win over Salt Lake, 77-72, holding the Bruins to 40 percent shooting from the floor. The Thunderbirds shot 60 percent in the game, making 8-of-11 three-point shots. 

Tia Hay led the Bruins with 30 points, making 12-of-26 shot attempts. Kimauri Toia finished with 8 points for Salt Lake.

Lucie Hoskova led the Thunderbirds with 18 points, making 7-of-10 shots. Paula Orenes Sanchez finished with 16 points.
