TWIN FALLS, ID—No. 7-ranked Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Women's Volleyball (4-0) remains unbeaten after a pair of three-set wins at the Buffalo Wild Wings-Hilex Poly Invitational hosted by the College of Southern Idaho. The Bruins swept Phoenix College (PHXC) (0-4) 25-16, 25-18 and 25-23 in the early game before easing past Northwest College (NWC) 25-21, 25-17 and 25-11 in the night cap.

SLCC sophomore outside hitter Maddie Bushman (Tucson, AZ) was the featured attacker for the Bruins against PHXC, turning in 17 kills on 36 attacks, one service ace and 10 digs in the three-set victory. Sophomore setter Cortney Godfrey (West Jordan, UT) picked up four kills to go with her 39 assists in the match.

The Bruins combined for 11 team blocks in their evening sweep of NWC, with Bushman and freshman opposite hitter Bailee Kendall (Mt. Pleasant, UT) each pounding nine kills. Sophomore middle hitter Brittani Cole (Preston, ID) assisted on four blocks, and Godfrey dished up 27 assists against NWC.

Next up for Head Coach Sue Dulaney and the Bruins is an away match at No. 5 Western Wyoming Community College (WWCC) on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. (MDT). The Bruins split a pair of meetings with the WWCC Mustangs last season in a home-and-home series.
