MESA, Arizona- The SLCC Men's basketball team traveled down to Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl JC Shootout.  SLCC face a variety of teams ultimately winning three in a row to claim the tournament championship.  Alfonzo Hubbard was named tournament MVP and Patrick McCollum was named to the All Tournament team. 

To open the tournament SLCC faced Central Wyoming; defeating Wyoming 98-67.  Hubbard led the way with a team high 33 on 14-17 shooting from the floor with 11 boards.  McCollum followed Hubbard with 20 points.

Salt Lake's next opponent was defending National Champions ranked 4^th in the nation Howard College.  In a hard fought batted it was the Bruins who stayed on top winning 65-63.  McCollum finished with a team high 20 points. 

In the Championship match Salt Lake took on Westwin Prep; winning easily 92-70.  Hubbard finished the tournament scoring 24 with nine rebounds.
