Bruin Arena

                        

The Lifetime Activities Center is home for the Salt Lake Community College Bruins.  The “LAC” was dedicated in January 1996 by then President Dr. Frank Budd.  This building was built not only to give the Bruins a new home, but also to give the students at SLCC a state-of-the-art activity facility.

The LAC houses the Health Sciences Department and the Athletic Department. Health and Lifetime Activities programs are all a part of the LAC daily  educational mission.



Special features of the LAC include a 5,000 seat special events arena, multiple class and meeting rooms, large multi-purpose playing area, six glass wall racquetball courts, dance studio, full service free weight  room and cardiovascular fitness center.


Gymnasium - Available for basketball, volleyball, badminton and other appropriate indoor activities. The arena may also be available at times for open recreation usage.
Indoor Track - 10 laps = 1 mile. The jogging track will be available whenever the building is open for recreational use.
Racquetball/Wallyball Courts - Call 957-3801 one day in advance to make a one hour reservation. Saturday and Monday reservations will be taken on Friday.
Strength Room This facility has state of  the art strength equipment and aerobic exercise equipment including exercise bikes, treadmills, rowing machines, stair climbers etc. Stop in and check it out. 

         Fitness CenterA wide variety of free weights and weight lifting equipment are available in this weight room facility.
