Makaylie Moore is entering her fourth season as an assistant coach for
the Salt Lake Community College Women’s Soccer Program. In her
third year with the Bruins (2024), she played a key role in a very
successful season in program history. That year, SLCC captured both the
Scenic West Athletic Conference title and the Region 18 Tournament
Championship, ultimately advancing to the NJCAA National
Tournament. At Nationals the Bruins defeated the nation’s top-ranked
team to advance to a Final Four finish. The SLCC coaching staff was
honored as the United Soccer Coaches West Region Coaching Staff of
the Year.
In addition to her work at SLCC, Moore currently serves as the Salt
Lake Area Director for Utah Avalanche Soccer Club, where she
oversees more than 40 teams in the U9–U19 girls and boys programs.
She is also the head coach of the 2013 Utah Avalanche Girls ECNL
team, helping develop young talent at the elite youth level.
As a player, Moore had an impressive five-year career at BYU (2017–
2021), helping the Cougars reach four consecutive NCAA Tournament
appearances. Her standout moment came in 2021, when she scored two
goals in the NCAA Elite Eight to help send BYU to its first-ever College
Cup. She went on to compete in the NCAA National Championship that
same year.
Moore holds a USSF B License and an Advanced National Diploma,
and she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Wellness
from Brigham Young University.
