Amy LePeilbet brings extensive experience in team development, tactical leadership, and championship-level performance to the Salt Lake Community College Women’s Soccer Program. Entering her fourth season as head coach and sixth season overall with the Bruins, LePeilbet has established SLCC as one of the premier programs in the NJCAA while building a culture centered on player development, academic success, and competitive excellence.
In Fall 2025, LePeilbet guided the Bruins to another historic season, leading SLCC to a Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) regular-season championship and a 15-3-3 overall record. Under her leadership, the Bruins earned their sixth consecutive appearance in the NJCAA National Tournament and continued their tradition of success on the national stage. LePeilbet was recognized for her leadership by being named the SWAC Coach of the Year, while nine SLCC student-athletes earned All-Region honors, including SWAC Player of the Year and SWAC Goalkeeper of the Year. The 2025 campaign continued a remarkable run of success for LePeilbet and the Bruins.
In Fall 2024, she led SLCC to a standout season, capturing both the Scenic West Athletic Conference title and the Region 18 Tournament Championship. The Bruins made a deep postseason run, defeating the nation’s No. 1-ranked team and advancing to the NJCAA Final Four. For their accomplishments, the SLCC coaching staff was named the United Soccer Coaches West Region Coaching Staff of the Year. Defender Brooke Gardner and goalkeeper Elle Rafajko earned NJCAA All-American honors.
During her first season as head coach in Fall 2023, LePeilbet guided SLCC to another SWAC championship, a Region 18 Tournament Championship, and a berth in the NJCAA National Tournament. Forward Lexi Vernsey and goalkeeper Aliya Garrett earned NJCAA All-American honors, and LePeilbet was named SWAC Coach of the Year.
Before taking over as head coach, LePeilbet served as associate head coach in Fall 2022, playing a key role in transforming the Bruins’ style of play and elevating individual performance. She led video analysis, tactical planning, and player development efforts as SLCC reached the NJCAA National Championship game and finished as national runner-up. Midfielder Jordan Roe and goalkeeper Tess Wiesiolek earned NJCAA All-American honors for their performances.
Before joining SLCC, LePeilbet coached at the highest levels of the women’s game. She served as interim head coach of the Utah Royals (NWSL) in 2020 after previously working as assistant coach and director of professional development from 2018–2020. In 2019, she led the Utah Royals Reserves to the WPSL National Final and was named Mountain Conference Coach of the Year. She has also coached with U.S. Youth National Teams at the U23, U20, and U18 levels.
LePeilbet enjoyed a distinguished professional playing career as a defender for the U.S. Women’s National Team, earning 84 caps from 2004–2013. She helped the United States win gold at the 2012 London Olympics and silver at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
She was selected No. 4 overall by the Boston Breakers in the 2009 WPS Draft and was named WPS Defender of the Year in both 2009 and 2010. She concluded her professional career with FC Kansas City, winning back-to-back NWSL Championships in 2014 and 2015 and earning NWSL Best XI recognition after playing every minute of her final season.
At the collegiate level, LePeilbet was a four-year starter at Arizona State University, where she helped lead the Sun Devils to three NCAA Tournament appearances. She was a three-time First-Team All-Pac-10 selection and a two-time All-American.
LePeilbet holds a USSF A Senior License and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Arizona State University.
