Trentin Atkin is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Salt Lake Community College Men’s Soccer team. A Utah native, Atkin brings a successful playing-and-coaching career to SLCC.
Atkin comes to Salt Lake from Westminster College, where he served as an assistant coach. Prior to entering coaching, he had a distinguished playing career that saw him win two Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championships at Colorado Mesa. CMU qualified for four NCAA tournaments and an NCAA semifinal during his playing tenure.
Prior to playing at Colorado Mesa, Atkin was a local club-and-high school player. He led Hillcrest High School to three UHSAA playoff berths, simultaneously winning five club state championships with Inter FC.
Atkin has an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Colorado Mesa. He enjoys spending time with his dog, J, when not coaching, along with watching sports on television.
