Twin Falls, Idaho- No. 5 Salt Lake Volleyball (9-2) won both of their day 2 matches at the Starr Corporation Invite. 

Salt Lake defeated Western Nebraska in the morning in five sets. 25-18, 24-26, 25-21, 14-25, 15-12. 

The trio of Bruin setters all pitched in as Swayzee Mason had 32 assists and Teagan Sabillon and Elly Giordano both recorded 13 assists. 

Cameron Zajer had 18 kills and 18 digs in the match for Salt Lake. Rylee Parkinson had the second most kills for the Bruins with 14. Ellie Crosbie recorded 8 kills and 6 block assists. 

Libero Daxlyn Robinson and Aspen Anderson added 19 digs and 13 digs respectively. 

This match marks the second time this season that the Bruins went to five sets. 

Salt Lake ended the weekend with a straight sets victory against Treasure Valley. 25-16, 25-16, 25-9. Andie Thomas led the way for the Bruins with 12 kills and 8 digs. Zajer followed with 11 kills and 8 digs. 

Swayzee Mason had 41 assists and Salt Lake hit .340 in the match as a team. Lana Hollway and Parkinson each had 7 kills, and Crosbie chipped in with 6 kills. Robinson anchored the Bruins with 17 digs and Anderson recorded double-digit digs once again.

The Bruins will be back at home to host the Bruin Bash which will include several top 20 teams in the nation in action. Salt Lake's first match is on September 11th at 11:30 am versus Odessa College.
