Salt Lake City, UTAH- The No. 6 ranked Bruins (15-3) beat No. 7 USU-Eastern (13-4) in four sets Saturday afternoon.
Salt Lake won the first set comfortably 25-12, but the Eagles took set two 25-18. Salt Lake fought off USU-Eastern in back-to-back close sets as they won the third and fourth sets 25-22.
Cameron Zajer had a match-high 16 kills to lead Salt Lake. Lili Murase had 13 kills and hit .500. Myka Christensen had 29 assists and Avrie Valgardson followed with 23 assists.
Both Shaylee Dahle and Paige Balliff added eight kills for Salt Lake. Dahle led the Bruins with three block assists.
