Salt Lake City, UTAH- After a 4-0 week SLCC Volleyball (12-3) is now ranked No. 6 in the nation. The Bruins were the No. 12 team in the nation last week and moved up after upsetting No. 1 Miami Dade College and No. 10 Trinity Valley Community College.
Freshman Cameron Zajer was named the Bruin Bash Invitational MVP and also earned SWAC Player of the Week honors. Zajer has played in every set this year and recorded 54 kills last week. The Australian led the Bruins with 19 kills in their upset win over Miami Dade that went five sets. Zajer totaled 38 digs last week with a career high 12 digs in the win over Trinity Valley.
Libero Daxlyn Gammell was named the Scenic West Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. Dax had 66 digs last week and tied her career high recording 23 digs in the match against Miami Dade. Gammell has also played in every set this year for Salt Lake and was given the Tournament Libero Award.

MB Shaylee Dahle was the other Bruin that made the All-Tournament Team. The other five players:
