Salt Lake men's soccer score 14 goals in blowout

Diego Ossa's hat-trick leads No. 2 SLCC

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Thursday, September 27, 2024)— No. 2 Salt Lake was firing on all cylinders, remaining undefeated with a 14-0 win over Pacific Northwest College.

The Bruins (9-0) scored ten first-half goals in the blowout win, with freshman forward Diego Ossa netting a hat-trick in the 39th minute. Sophomore forward Bony Ulrich added a pair of goals in the opening 45 minutes.

SLCC continued pulling away in the second half, getting goals from Adonis Igouwe and Cole Halterman. Itamar Golan and Robert Franke added braces for the Bruins.

Nicola Brocca and Josh Garcia round out the Salt Lake goal scorers. Erick Jaspers picked up the clean sheet in goal.

The 14 goals are the most for a Bruin team since last season when SLCC beat PNWCC 14-0 on the road last October. Salt Lake tallied 15 goals against Community Christian College in 2021.
