Box Score TWIN FALLS, Idaho (Saturday, September 21, 2024)— Second-ranked Salt Lake remains undefeated after dismantling Southern Idaho on Saturday afternoon.
Six different Bruins scored in the impressive 6-0 road win.
It was tough sledding in the first half until Ali Merghemi beat the Golden Eagles keeper in the 31st minute. It was Merghemi's fourth goal of the year.
Leading 1-0, the floodgates opened for Salt Lake in the second half as the Bruins peppered CSI's Pedro De Andrade with 12 shots in the final 45 minutes.
Gabriel Miranda's fourth goal gave his team a 2-0 lead in the 49th minute, followed by a brace from Bony Ulrich in the 59th minute. Less than two minutes later, Larry Noel found the back of the net. It was Ulrich and Noel's second goal of the year.
Cole Halterman's first goal in the 74th minute gave the Bruins a commanding 5-0 lead. Sophomore midfielder Jorge De La Vibora Bonilla finished the scoring with his second goal of the year coming in the 83rd minute.
Freshman keeper Ben Maw picked up SLCC's third consecutive clean sheet. Salt Lake has outscored opponents 10-0 during that stretch and 25-3 for the season.
