TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Saturday, September 14, 2024)- No. 2 Salt Lake Men's Soccer (5-0, 3-0) won 2-0 in a physical game over USU Eastern (1-4-1, 1-2). 

Diego Ossa scored on a cheeky touch in the 31st minute as he redirected a beautiful pass from Josh Conover. Ossa has three goals for the Bruins this season.

Robert Franke added the second Bruins goal ten minutes later with a left footed shot. Franke has three goals this year as well. 

"We're a very possession oriented team. We like to move the ball and like to have the ball, and goals open that up for us," said Bruins coach Trentin Atkin. 

Ben Maw posted a clean sheet in goal for Salt Lake. The Bruins goal scorers and lone assist all came from substitutes.

Salt Lake will have two conference games on the road next week. Thursday, September 19 at 3:30 p.m. against Truckee Meadows Community College, and Saturday, September 21 versus the College of Southern Idaho at 1:30 p.m.
