TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Friday, November 1, 2024)- No. 11 Salt Lake Volleyball (18-8, 7-2) upset No. 5 USU Eastern (19-6, 8-1) in a thrilling four set match. The Bruins won the decisive fourth set 27-25.
Sophomores Logan Lindsay and Addy McArthur led the Bruins with 16 kills and 14 kills respectively. Freshman Kallie Johansen followed with eight kills.
Setter Myka Christensen had 24 assists for Salt Lake and two successful dumps throughout the match.
Sophomore Julia Oberg was clutch defensively with two blocks. Libero Karlie Hopkins had a game high 17 digs.
USU Eastern beat Salt Lake in straight sets back in September. The Bruins win today snapped the Eagles eleven match win streak. The Bruins have now won seven straight matches.
