No. 2 Salt Men's Soccer Stays Undefeated With Clutch Second Half

No. 2 Salt Lake Men’s Soccer (10-0-1, 8-0-1) defeated Snow College (8-3) 3-1.

EPHRAIM, Utah (Thursday, October 10, 2024)- No. 2 Salt Lake Men's Soccer (10-0-1, 8-0-1) defeated No. 19 Snow College (8-3) 3-1. 

Freshman Ali Merghemi broke open the scoring for the Bruins, but the Badgers quickly responded with an equalizer from Jack Cook. The halftime score was 1-1. 

Freshman Ryan Moteng scored in the opening minute of the second half to give Salt Lake another lead. The Bruins got their third goal when Merghemi won the ball back in the Badgers box and scored his second goal of the afternoon. 

Goalie Ben Maw had four saves for Salt Lake. Diego Vasquez and Landon Huebner both recorded an assist for the Bruins. 

Salt Lake also beat Snow College on September 12, at Bruin Field 2-1.
