TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 27, 2023) – The No. 6 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team powered to a strong victory against a longtime foe Wednesday.
SLCC posted a 3-2 home win over the College of Southern Idaho, earning the victory by set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 19-25, 23-25, 15-13. The Bruins are now 16-5 overall, on a nine-match winning streak, and have a record of 4-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
In a match that went back-and-forth, Salt Lake hit .307 as a team but was nearly undone in service, committing 17 service errors. In contrast though, the Bruins did post 15 aces in the thrilling win.
Tessa Treanor finished with 17 kills to lead the Bruins. Fuka Kikuchi had 11 kills, while Marija Tabak notched 10 kills. Brinlie Crosbie had 34 assists.
Salt Lake will play at Colorado Northwestern and USU Eastern next week. Â
