No. 4 SLCC Men’s Soccer claims tight win over Truckee Meadows

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 16, 2023) – The No. 4 Salt Lake Community College Men's Soccer team found a way to a close victory Saturday.
 
SLCC earned a 1-0 win over Truckee Meadows, posting a second half goal and then playing clean defense to earn the victory. The Bruins are now 7-0-1 with the victory, including a mark of 3-0-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
 
After playing to a draw in the first half, Sawyer Heaton scored in the 52nd minute to lift the Bruins to a 1-0 lead. SLCC earned a 26-2 edge in total shots in the match, taking 12 shots-on-goal. Salt Lake goalkeeper Ben Williams had a pair of saves in the win.
 
Salt Lake will host both Colorado Northwestern and USU Eastern next week.
