Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 17, 2023) – The season is still alive for the No. 4 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team.
SLCC faced a familiar foe in the consolation bracket of the NJCAA Volleyball championships in Kansas Friday, playing the College of Southern Idaho for the fourth time this season. The Bruins rolled to a perfect 4-0 record against the Golden Eagles this season, earning a 3-1 win by set scores of 17-25, 25-23, 25-22, 26-24. SLCC is now 27-6 with the win.
Similar to their game plan in the previous three matches, Salt Lake made critical plays when it needed to, hitting .216 and posting 11 aces. A Tessa Treanor kill capped off the victory, sending the Bruins to another match on Saturday.
Treanor finished with 15 kills to lead SLCC, while Marija Tabak had 12 kills. Brenley Hansen also had 10 kills. Brinlie Crosbie had 42 assists, while Randi Reeves led the team with 13 digs.
Salt Lake will play No. 2 Northeastern on Saturday for the Fifth Place match.Â
