Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 16, 2023) - The No. 4 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team opened the NJCAA semifinals with a five-set victory Wednesday.
Thursday, in the NJCAA quarterfinals in Kansas, a five-set loss dropped the Bruins into the consolation bracket, with SLCC falling to No. 5 Trinity Valley by set scores of 25-20, 17-25, 26-28, 25-23, 14-16. The loss drops Salt Lake to 26-6 overall.
In a match that went back-and-forth, the Bruins hit .236 and had 12 service errors. Individually, Tessa Treanor had a massive performance as she posted 30 kills, while Brenley Hansen had 13 kills. Brinlie Crosbie had 58 assists in the loss.
In an ironic twist, Salt Lake will play Scenic West foe Southern Idaho in the consolation bracket on Friday, with the winner advancing to play in the fifth-place match on Saturday.
