TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 16, 2023) - The 2023 season is officially over for the No. 3 Salt Lake Community College men's soccer team.

Playing in the national semifinals for the third time in four seasons, SLCC fell to Monroe College in penalty kicks Thursday, ending a scoreless match by falling 3-2 in the shootout. The loss drops the Bruins to 18-3-2 overall to end the season.

In a match that was light on offense, the Bruins posted a narrow 9-8 advantage in total shots, with SLCC goalkeeper Ben Williams making a save. Robby Franke and Carles Herrero were successful in their penalty kick attempts for the Bruins.

Salt Lake ended the 2023 season as the Scenic West Athletic Conference and NJCAA Region 18 champions.
