TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 22, 2022) – The No. 4 Salt Lake Community College Volleyball team posted a strong start to Scenic West Athletic Conference play Thursday.

SLCC opened a two-match road swing at Southern Nevada, earning a 3-0 win over the Lady Coyotes by set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-7. The Bruins are now 16-2 overall and 1-0 in Scenic West play.

Salt Lake hit a crisp .389 as a team in the win, posting 45 kills and committing just 10 errors. SLCC's defense limited Southern Nevada to just .118 hitting, also forcing the Lady Coyotes into 15 errors.

Anastasia Tuifua led the Bruins with 13 kills, while
Teliana Sekona also posted 12 kills.
Laura Fiabane had 40 assists in the win.

Salt Lake will continue its road trip on Saturday, playing at No. 2 Snow College in a battle of nationally ranked, in-state foes.Â
