TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 22, 2022) – The No. 2 Salt Lake Community College Men's Soccer team posted an impressive win Thursday.
SLCC earned a 6-0 win over Southern Nevada, taking the lead early and never looking back in the shutout win. The Bruins are now 6-0 overall and 4-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Sergio Martinez got the Bruins on the board in the 29
th minute, opening up a scoring bonanza that saw SLCC take a 3-0 lead at halftime. Junya Shinomi and Damien Arguello both posted goals in the first half. Mark added another goal in the 54
th minute, then
Zion Wagoner scored in the 56
th minute.
Gabriel Miranda scored the capping goal in the 70
th minute.
SLCC held a 17-7 advantage in total shots. Bruins goalkeeper
Ben Williams also made a pair of saves at the net.
Salt Lake will travel to play at Truckee Meadows on Wednesday.
