Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 2, 2022) – The No. 5 Salt Lake Community College Volleyball team returned home with a thunderous response.
 
SLCC earned a pair of impressive victories to open the 'Crystal "Inn"vitational' tournament, earning a 3-1 win over Casper College and a 3-2 win over Western Nebraska Community College. The victories lift the Bruins to 8-1 overall.
 
Salt Lake will continue play with a pair of matches on Saturday.
 
Salt Lake 3, Casper 1: SLCC earned a 25-13, 25-27, 25-17, 25-10 win over Casper.
 
Sandora Sasaki led the Bruins with 14 kills, while Anastasia Tuifua also posted 11 kills. Sasaki finished with a hitting percentage of .423. Laura Fiabane posted 34 assists, while Kanon Miyaki finished with 13 digs. 
 
Salt Lake 3, Western Nebraska 2: The Bruins picked up a thrilling 25-8, 25-23, 22-25, 25-27, 15-8 win over Western Nebraska to close out the night.
 
SLCC's Sammy Perry led the Bruins with 20 kills, while Charity Wilson finished with 16 kills. Teliana Sekona posted 10 kills in the win.
 
Laura Fiabane had a season-high 58 assists in the win.
