Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 4, 2022) – It has been decided – the No. 3 Salt Lake Community College Volleyball team is the Region 18 champions.
 
Salt Lake earned a 3-0 win over in-state rival USU Eastern, winning by set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-18 to claim the Region 18 championship and earn an automatic berth into the NJCAA tournament. This is SLCC's first Region 18 title since 2016.
 
The Bruins hit .246 as a team, finishing with 46 kills on just 114 attacks. Kylie Schroeder posted 12 kills to lead Salt Lake, while Sammy Perry had 8 kills. Laura Fiabane had 37 assists and Randi Reeves led the team with 17 assists in the win.
 
Salt Lake is now 27-3 overall. Information on the upcoming NJCAA tournament will be released in the coming days on slccbruins.com. The NJCAA tournament is scheduled to begin on November 17.
