Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 4, 2021) – Momentum is building within the No. 14 Salt Lake Community College Volleyball program, and the results are showing for the Bruins.
 
SLCC earned a sweep of Saturday's play in the "Crystal 'Inn'vitational' tournament, downing No. 6 Central Wyoming and Western Nebraska. The victories lift the Bruins to 9-2 overall.
 
Salt Lake will play in a weekend tournament in Wyoming next week.
 
Salt Lake 3, Central Wyoming 1: The Bruins earned a strong victory over Central Wyoming, downing the No. 6 team by a margin of 25-27, 25-11, 25-23, 25-14.
 
SLCC forced Central Wyoming into 23 errors, holding them to a hitting percentage of .097. SLCC posted 50 kills in response, finishing with a hitting percentage of .155. 
 
Sandora Sasaki posted 18 kills in the impressive win, while Elena Wallace finished with 13 kills. Laura Fiabane had 42 assists in the win. 
 
Salt Lake 3, Western Nebraska 1: The Bruins earned a strong win in the final match of the tournament to close out a tourney sweep, winning 25-18, 25-20, 24-26, 25-21.
 
SLCC had two players with double-digit kills, as Sandora Sasaki posted 16 kills and Sunny Brown finished with 10 kills. The Bruins played strong defensively, taking advantage of Western Nebraska's 33 attack errors. 
 
Hikialani Kaohelaulii finished with 25 digs in the win.
