TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 23, 2021) – The road has done little to deter the wrecking ball of the No. 1 Salt Lake Community College Men's Soccer program.
SLCC posted another strong victory Thursday, earning a 3-1 win over Southern Nevada to move to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in Scenic West play. Salt Lake has won every match this season by multiple goals.
The Bruins jumped out to a 2-0 lead at halftime, with
Ryen Jiba opening scoring with a goal in the 17
th minute.
Taimu Okiyoshi then added a score in the 40
th minute to lift SLCC. While CSN scored midway through the second half, Jimiyu Mack posted a clinching goal in the 77
th minute to earn the victory.
SLCC held a 24-6 advantage in total shots. Bruins goalkeeper
Christian Olivares posted five saves in the win.
The Bruins will play a final game on the Saturday road trip, facing off against Community Christian College.
