Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 10, 2021) – The No. 8 Salt Lake Community College Volleyball program is riding a strong wave of momentum, with no foreseeable crest in sight.

SLCC continued to build that momentum Friday, opening a tournament hosted by the College of Southern Idaho with a pair of strong wins. The Bruins earned a 3-2 win over Laramie County Community College, followed up by a 3-0 win over Blue Mountain Community College. Salt Lake is now 11-3 with the victories.

The Bruins will close the tournament with another pair of matches Saturday, facing No. 13 Central Wyoming and Casper College.

Salt Lake 3, Laramie County 2: SLCC overcame an early 2-0 deficit and came back to beat Laramie County, earning the victory by set scores of 21-25, 24-26, 25-18, 25-10, 15-8.

Sandora Sasaki posted 11 kills and 10 digs, while
Anastasia Tuifua had a team-high 16 kills. SLCC had 15 team blocks in the win.

Salt Lake 3, Blue Mountain 0: The Bruins posted a strong sweep in the final match of the day, winning by set scores of 25-11, 25-19, 25-17.
