Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (August 28, 2021) - The No. 15 Salt Lake Community College Volleyball team had a successful close to a weekend tournament in Florida Saturday.

SLCC swept through the weekend doubleheader, finishing with a 3-0 win over Polk State (25-15, 25-23, 25-22) and earning a five-set win over No. 7 Florida Southwestern (25-23, 27-25, 24-26, 16-25, 15-8). Salt Lake is now 5-3 overall.

The Bruins will return home to host their annual 'Crystal "Inn"vitational' next weekend, playing a pair of matches on Friday and Saturday.

Salt Lake 3, Florida Southwestern 2: A back-and-forth contest between nationally-ranked foes ended in a win for the Bruins.

SLCC's Sandora Sasaki posted 20 kills in the win, good for a hitting percentage of .396. She also posted 20 digs and had a handful of aces. Laura Fiabane had 55 assists in the win, while Hikialani Kaohelaulii posted 52 digs.

Salt Lake 3, Polk State 0: SLCC statistically dominated a sweeping win over Polk State.

Sasaki finished with a team-high 13 kills, while Jasmyne Love had 9 kills. Fiabane posted 38 assists.
