Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (August 25, 2021) - The No. 1 Salt Lake Community College Men's Soccer program is on a tear to open the Fall 2021 season, continuing a strong start to non-conference play with a dominating win Wednesday.

Starting a two-match road trip against nationally-ranked competition, the top-ranked Bruins earned an impressive 7-0 win over No. 20 Monroe Community College. The victory lifts Salt Lake to 2-0 overall.

SLCC found its tempo midway through the first half, scoring in the 25th minute on a Ty Sanchez goal. Samson Ahisu and Damian Arguello both scored later in the half to give the Bruins a 3-0 halftime lead. Salt Lake's offensive momentum continuing building in the second half, with Reed Dayton scoring early in the half. Arguello  scored just moments later, with Omar Gomez and Mason McRae closing out the scoring.

The Bruins dominated the match, holding a 25-2 edge in total shots. SLCC goalie Christian Olivares posted a save in the win. 

Salt Lake will finish the road trip on Friday, facing off against No. 13 Monroe College.
