Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (August 20, 2021) – A pair of highly-touted matchups to open the Fall 2021 season did not go the way of the No. 15 Salt Lake Community College volleyball program Friday.

The Bruins, who are playing in a preseason tournament in New Mexico, fell in a pair of matches to open the year, dropping a 3-0 decision to No. 9 Tyler and a 3-1 match against No. 14 Seward County. SLCC drops to 0-2 with the losses.

Salt Lake will close play with another pair of matches on Saturday, facing off against South Mountain Community College and Pima Community College.Â

SLCC fell in a set-sweep, with
Jasmyne Love leading the Bruins with seven kills and a hitting percentage of .167.
Hikialani Kaohelaulii posted three aces, also finishing with 17 digs.Â
