TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 10, 2021) – The No. 8 Salt Lake Community College women's soccer team responded from a heartbreaking loss Thursday, powering to a strong Saturday road win.
Salt Lake downed the College of Southern Nevada in a Scenic West Athletic Conference road match, earning a 3-0 victory. SLCC is 2-1 overall and 1-1 in Scenic West play with the win.
After a slow start, Salt Lake went on a scoring flurry in the second half, posting an
Ashlyn Hall goal in the 48
th minute on a
Cassidy Adams assist.
Hannah Lee would score minutes later, with
Kaytlyn Larsen scoring late to clinch the victory.
Salt Lake dominated the match, finishing with a 33-0 edge in shots. Lee led Salt Lake with eight shots-on-goal.
Katrina Gardner earned the shutout win at goal.
The Bruins will host Colorado Northwestern on Thursday, with a match against USU Eastern Saturday. Both matches will be played at Zions Bank Stadium.
