TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 31, 2021) -  A matchup of nationally-ranked foes will take place in a reseeded NJCAA Region 18 volleyball tournament this weekend.

Due to a Scenic West Athletic Conference program withdrawing from the postseason tournament, No. 14 Salt Lake Community College will now face off against No. 4 USU Eastern in the Region 18 semifinals. The battle of nationally-ranked in-state rivals materialized after the tournament was reseeded, with SLCC's original matchup with Colorado Northwestern being changed. SLCC is 1-1 against USU Eastern this season. 

SLCC and USU Eastern will play for a spot in Saturday's Region 18 championship game at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The tournament is being hosted by Snow College at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield, Utah. Top-seeded Snow will play the winner of a play-in match between Southern Idaho and Colorado Northwestern.
